このスポットについて
A garden on high ground a short walk from Yushima Station, opened to the public on the site of the Iwasaki family's main residence. The Western-style house, built in 1896 (Meiji 29), was designed by the British architect Josiah Conder, who also worked on the Rokumeikan; together with the Japanese-style house and the billiard room, it is designated an Important Cultural Property of Japan. It also suits a moment of rest partway through a walk around Ueno or Yushima.
