このスポットについて
A temple along the road running from Hongo-sanchome Station toward the University of Tokyo's Akamon gate. Higuchi Ichiyo lived in the house next door as a child and later wrote of the place in an essay as "Sakuragi no Yado"; a monument in her memory stands in the temple grounds. Traces linked to writers are scattered across the slopes of Hongo, and this makes a fine starting point for a walk that follows them.
