A specialist in fish-paste products (neri-mono) founded in Genroku 1 (1688), in business since the era of the fifth shogun Tokugawa Tsunayoshi. The signature hand-formed hanpen (¥432) is made from mako shark and blue shark brought in daily from Kesennuma and Yaizu, mixed with Japanese yam and egg white, ground in a stone mill and boiled. Oden ingredients, kamaboko and satsuma-age are also lined up.
