An ancient shrine said to be the very origin of the place name "Oji." According to tradition, the name derives from the enshrinement here of the Wakamiya (young prince, Oji) of Kishu Kumano. Within walking distance of Oji Station, visitors can worship surrounded by the lush greenery of the shrine grounds.
