A temple located near Tawaramachi Station. The area stretching from Nishi-Asakusa to Matsugaya is dense with temples, and every street you turn onto brings a different temple gate into view. Koenji is one of them. There is no showy highlight here, but stopping by partway through a walk around town lets you feel the quieter side of Asakusa.
