An Inari shrine enshrined near Jiyugaoka Station. The Inari deity is said to preside over the ripening of rice and food, and the grounds of such shrines often hold statues of foxes, the deity's messengers. Small shrines standing quietly on street corners or beside buildings can be found all over Japan, and this is one of them. If a red torii gate happens to catch your eye as you walk, stop for a moment.
