The only ravine within Tokyo's 23 wards, carved out of the Musashino Plateau by the Yazawa River. A walking path runs roughly 1 km along the stream, and as you make your way along the valley floor beneath the trees covering the cliffs, the sound of the water and the greenery surround you until you forget you are in the middle of the city. The entrance is just a short walk from Todoroki Station, so you can drop down into the valley in the natural flow of a stroll through town.
