A temple within walking distance of Asakusa Station. Many temples have gathered in the Asakusa area since the Edo period, and one street in from the main avenue, their quiet atmosphere still remains today. Simply pausing at the gate and looking at the trees and stone pagodas in the grounds is enough to feel the unhurried pace of the old downtown, so different from the bustle of the tourist sights.
