A large park spreading out right next to Harajuku Station. Originally an army drill ground, it later served as housing for the U.S. military after the war and as the athletes' village for the 1964 Tokyo Olympics, before opening as a park in 1967. Broad lawns, water features, and avenues of zelkova and ginkgo trees run through the grounds, so a single loop around the park already makes for a good walk.
