A temple tucked into a residential neighborhood, a few minutes' walk from Kokuritsu-Kyogijo Station. Turn one street off the main road and the foot traffic thins out; pass through the temple gate and a quiet, tree-lined precinct opens up. On the way to Jingu Gaien or Shinjuku Gyoen, it makes a fine short detour for a moment of prayer. A good stop when you want to slow your pace.
