A temple within walking distance of Tawaramachi Station. From Tawaramachi through to Asakusa, temples stand in number as a trace of the temple district that has been here since the Edo period, and along Asakusa-dori there is a stretch lined with shops selling Buddhist altars and ritual goods. Konzoji sits within that streetscape, and passing through its gate from the street, the air changes a little. It is a good place to slip a quiet moment into a day of shopping and street food.
