Opened in 1971, this was a pioneer of Japan’s marine resorts. Its palm-lined avenues and gleaming white resort condominiums earned it the nickname “Japan’s Miami,” and it became a symbol of the Shonan lifestyle during the bubble era. Until the early 2000s, summer outdoor concerts were a seasonal tradition here.
