A branch facility of the National Museum of Nature and Science, a few minutes' walk from Shirokanedai Station. Its roughly 20-hectare grounds hold woodland, wetlands and ponds that preserve traces of the old Musashino landscape, with enough nature left to make you forget you are in the center of the city. It opened to the public in 1949, and a wide variety of plants and animals can be observed through all four seasons.
