A Jodo-shu Buddhist temple located just beside Kiyosumi-Shirakawa Station, founded in 1624 (Kan'ei 1) by the monk Reigan Shonin. The seated bronze statue of Jizo Bodhisattva on the grounds is known as one of the Six Jizo of Edo and has been designated a cultural property of Koto Ward. It is one of Fukagawa's most historically significant temples.
