A memorial museum opened by Bunkyo City in 2012 to mark the 150th anniversary of Mori Ogai's birth. It stands on the former site of Kanchoro, the residence where Ogai lived from the mid-Meiji period until his death, and traces the writer's life through manuscripts, letters and other materials. It sits up Dangozaka slope from Sendagi Station, an easy stop along a walk through the Yanesen area.
