A temple near Honjo-azumabashi Station. "Hokke" refers to the Lotus Sutra, and the word has long been used for temples of the schools that take this sutra as their foundation. It stands within the old downtown streetscape spreading east of the Sumida River, and the temple gate appears without warning as you turn into a lane. Work it into your walking route and pause for a while in the quiet grounds.
